Company Profile

Kinnell Insurance began in 1972 in Cambridge, offering life insurance packages from one company. In 1976 Jim Kinnell brought his brokerage operation to Barrie. In the mid 80's, financial services were added and the company officially became Kinnell Insurance and Financial Inc. Over the years, Service, Commitment and Security have helped build strong client relationships, improving their insurance and financial portfolios.

Kinnell's experience in Health Insurance, coupled with government cutbacks in 93' enabled us to 'bridge the gap' between public and private insurance. KIF was at the forefront to help Canadians in providing private insurance for Individuals, Retirees and Groups including coverage for hospital, extended healthcare, prescriptions, vision, dental and critical illness insurance, as well as new Long Term Care & Home Healthcare plans.

As the Agency expanded throughout Ontario with a growing network of Advisors, their specialization in Health and Living Benefits was a natural market to be appointed as a Principal General Partner for Ontario Blue Cross.*
